🏢 Organisation: Widows and Orphans Development Foundation (WODF), The Netherlands. 📍 Candidates' Location: The Netherlands or EU (Remote with occasional meet-ups). ⏰ Time commitment: 1–2 hours per week. The Widows and Orphans Development Foundation (WODF) is looking for passionate and committed volunteers to join our Fundraising Committee! 💡 This is your chance to contribute directly to initiatives that empower widows and orphaned children in Africa (Tanzania) through: 💼 Social & economic empowerment. 📚 Education support for orphans. 🥘 Food security. 🌱 Sustainable, climate resilient farming practices. 🌍 WHO WE ARE WODF is a non-profit organisation based in the Netherlands focused on supporting widows and orphans in Tanzania. We empower widows with entrepreneurship skills and seed funding to enable them start income-generating projects. We also support orphaned children with school supplies and other necessities to ensure uninterrupted education. WHY WIDOWS AND ORPHANS? Widows in many African countries face economic and social challenges after the death of their husbands such as: ⚖️ Loss of property or income. 🍽️ Food insecurity. 🛑 Social stigma & harmful traditional practices.
