You could play a crucial role in creating exciting partnerships, establishing and expanding relationships with corporate partners, donors, grant-making Trusts and Foundations. Additionally, you will also lead the way in creating, and implementing innovative income generating initiatives. Overview: Join our dedicated team as a Volunteer Events and Fundraising Support member. In this role, you'll assist in organising and executing fundraising events, engaging with the community, and supporting our mission to make a positive impact. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in event planning and nonprofit fundraising while contributing to meaningful causes. You will secure unrestricted income to drive our strategic plan of Building the New Different for the next 3 years. You will have proven experience in events or fundraising, preferably within the charity, or not for profit sector. However, relevant experience with a track record will be considered. You will work closely with our Business Development Manager with a team of dedicated volunteers to achieve targeted financial goals to increase our reserves. You must be highly organised, with exceptional time management and project management skills to meet stringent deadlines. You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team to achieve organisational objectives. You will be passionate about our mission and committed to ethical conduct and confidentiality in handling sensitive donor information You will have demonstrated ability in planning and executing successful fundraising campaigns and events to generate income. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events, including logistics, promotion, and on-the-day support. Engage with donors, sponsors, and attendees to foster positive relationships and encourage ongoing support. Support the development and distribution of promotional materials and communications. Help manage event-related administrative tasks, such as tracking RSVPs and maintaining records. Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to ensure successful event execution. Requirements: Strong organisational and communication skills. Enthusiasm for event planning and community engagement. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Flexibility to attend events, which may occur during evenings or weekends. Previous experience in event support or fundraising is a plus but not required. Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per month, with flexibility around event schedules.
