You will be responsible for evaluating their skills, potential, and suitability for recruitment by professional teams, clubs, or academies. Your keen observational skills, analytical mindset, and ability to spot talent will contribute to shaping the future of sports in Sydney. Responsibilities: 1. Talent Identification: Attend local and regional sporting events, tournaments, and competitions to identify athletes with exceptional skills and potential. Utilize your knowledge of different sports and positions to assess their technical abilities, physical attributes, and overall performance. 2. Scouting Reports: Prepare detailed scouting reports on identified athletes, highlighting their strengths, weaknesses, and overall potential. Provide objective and accurate assessments of their abilities, including technical skills, tactical awareness, physical attributes, and mental resilience. 3. Player Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of athletes through in-person observations, video analysis, and data-driven assessments. Utilize technology and scouting tools to gather performance data and statistics to support your evaluations. 4. Networking: Build and maintain relationships with coaches, trainers, sports associations, and other scouts to stay updated on upcoming talents and emerging trends in the sports industry. Attend networking events and conferences to expand your professional network. 5. Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with professional teams, clubs, or academies to understand their talent requirements and recruitment strategies. Work closely with team coaches and management to identify potential recruits who align with their team's playing style, philosophy, and long-term objectives. 6. Player Development: Provide feedback and recommendations to athletes regarding areas for improvement and development opportunities. Assist in facilitating player trials, tryouts, or training sessions to further evaluate potential recruits. 7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of scouted athletes, including contact information, performance data, scouting reports, and progress updates. Submit regular reports to the client, highlighting your findings and recommendations. Skills and Requirements: - In-depth knowledge and passion for various sports, including but not limited to soccer, basketball, rugby, cricket, tennis, and athletics. - Strong observational skills and the ability to identify talent and potential in athletes. - Excellent understanding of sport-specific technical skills, tactics, and physical attributes required for success. - Analytical mindset and the ability to evaluate players objectively based on performance data, video analysis, and scouting reports. - Knowledge of scouting tools and technology used in player evaluation and performance analysis. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders in the sports industry. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage scouting reports, player profiles, and documentation effectively. - Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to attend sporting events and competitions. - Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Previous experience in sports scouting or talent identification is highly desirable.
