Job Description
Looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a leading Film and TV Production Company? Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Set Dresser to join their team in Dublin, Ireland on a freelance basis.
As a Set Dresser, you will be responsible for creating and enhancing the look and feel of a film or TV set, working closely with the production designer, art director and the rest of the art department. Your primary role will be to dress the set, which includes selecting and arranging furniture, props, and other decorative elements, to bring the production designer's vision to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the production designer, art director and other members of the art department to ensure continuity and visual consistency on set.
Select, source and arrange furniture, props and other decorative elements to create a visually compelling and believable setting.
Work with other members of the art department, such as the prop master, to ensure that all the props and set dressing elements are appropriate for the time period, genre and tone of the production.
Maintain the set and ensure that all the elements are in place and ready for filming.
Work efficiently within tight deadlines, and be adaptable and flexible to changes in the set design or production schedule.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Set Dresser in film or TV production, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
An eye for detail and creativity, with a keen understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
Knowledge of the latest set dressing techniques, materials and trends in the industry.
Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changes in the production schedule.
