Job Description
We are an established, privately owned and operated technology-focused company. Among other provisions, we provide monitoring and surveillance services to a national customer base as well as static guarding and static concierge services.
We are seeking a supervisor to join and lead our small 24-hour static guard and concierge team. Previous supervisory experience is required and experience in security and guarding preferred. This is an opportunity to join an established team but inject your own and well-proven ideas of team building and team functionality.
This is an 8-hour Monday – Friday role, however as this is a 24-hour operation, applicants must have some flexibility to their working hours, on occasion working night or weekend shifts.
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to correspond effectively with your team, your team leader and the client. The successful candidate will be an entrusted employee and expected to be reliable and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
The Security Supervisor is responsible for the smooth operation of our client’s site and the day-to-day training and supervision of the team who man the site.
Please ensure you meet some or all of the following attributes before you apply:
* Alarm or surveillance monitoring experience is desirable;
* Experience working in high security or sensitive locations, desirable;
* Computer literacy with experience using Microsoft and Windows;
* Supervisory experience or proven capability to supervise a team;
* Experience in training staff;
* Effective and clear communication, including verbal and written skills (report writing required);
* Positive, confident and calm manner;
* Ability to make decisions;
* Customer service orientated;
* Ability to follow procedures and instigate new process;
* Have your own reliable means of transportation (and a clear full NZ driver licence);
* Non-smoker;
* Hold a current (green) PSPLA Certificate of Approval with class PRG (desirable);
