Job Description

The Receptionist is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, handling inquiries, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process. Additionally, they coordinate with other departments to ensure good overall guest experience. Job scope covers: - Greet guests and assist with check-in and check-out procedures - Manage reservations through email, phone, and online booking platforms - Provide information about the resort, activities, and conservation programs - Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally - Process payments and maintain accurate billing records - Arrange and keep check of daily housekeeping services and maintenance check - Coordinate with housekeeping, kitchen, and dive center to ensure seamless guest experiences - Keep the front desk area and restaurant clean and organized - Assist in restaurant work including preparing drinks, serving food, buffet set-up - Maintain guest records and update booking systems - Address guest feedback and resolve minor issues efficiently - Monitor and maintain inventory for reception, restaurant, kitchen and housekeeping - Support the kitchen, restaurant and housekeeping with placing supply orders - Assist with administrative tasks as needed - Assist with delivery transfer between boat and resort - Land and ferry transfer arrangement Requirements: - Able to communicate in English and Malay (Mandarin is a plus) - Friendly and approachable - Good organizational and multitasking abilities - Comfortable working in a remote island environment - Basic computer skills (email, reservation systems, Microsoft Office) - Passion for eco-tourism and sustainability is a plus - Willing to work on the island for 8 months (March to October)
