Job Description
Looking for a new and exciting opportunity in the film industry? Our leading client is searching for a talented and experienced Prop Master to join their production team on a freelance basis. As a Prop Master, you will be responsible for overseeing the selection, procurement, and organization of all props used during filming. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively. Responsibilities: Work closely with the Director, Production Designer, and Set Decorator to understand the requirements for each scene and the props needed to bring the story to life. Manage the procurement and rental of all necessary props within the assigned budget, negotiating deals with suppliers where necessary. Maintain accurate records of all props, ensuring they are returned in the same condition they were received. Work with the Set Dressing team to ensure that all props are in the correct location for each scene and that they are consistent throughout the film. Manage the prop team, delegating responsibilities and ensuring that everyone is working together efficiently to achieve the desired outcome. Attend rehearsals and be present on set during filming to make sure all props are in the right place at the right time. Ensure that all props meet health and safety requirements. Requirements: Proven experience as a Prop Master on film sets, preferably in a similar genre. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders. Knowledge of industry-standard practices and protocols. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. Full driving license and access to a car is essential. If you are passionate about film and have the relevant experience and skills, we would love to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and creative team, working on a high-profile production. The role is based in Dublin, Ireland, and is offered on a freelance basis.
