As a member of the Film Crew, your skills and responsibilities will include:
Camera Operation: Assist in operating cameras during film shoots, ensuring smooth and accurate capturing of scenes. Set up and adjust camera equipment, including lenses, filters, and lighting, as per the director's instructions.
Lighting and Grip: Assist with lighting and grip equipment setup and operation. Collaborate with the Director of Photography to create the desired visual atmosphere for each scene.
Sound Recording: Support the sound department in recording high-quality audio during filming. Set up microphones and audio recording equipment, ensuring proper levels and clarity.
Production Assistance: Provide assistance to various departments, including art direction, wardrobe, and makeup. Help with setting up and arranging props, ensuring continuity, and maintaining a tidy and organized set.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper care and maintenance of film equipment, including cameras, lighting, and sound gear. Keep track of inventory and report any issues or equipment requirements to the relevant personnel.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the director, producers, and other crew members to achieve the vision and goals of the production. Follow instructions and contribute creative ideas when appropriate.
Problem Solving: Be resourceful and adaptable in solving technical challenges that may arise during filming. Troubleshoot equipment issues and work with the team to find practical solutions.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to health and safety guidelines on set, ensuring the well-being of all crew members and cast. Comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including permits and permissions for filming in different locations.
Organization and Time Management: Maintain a well-organized workflow and manage time efficiently to meet production deadlines. Ensure equipment is set up and ready for use in a timely manner.
Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies related to film production. Continuously expand your skills and knowledge to enhance your contribution to the team.
Requirements:
Previous experience in film production or related fields is highly desirable.
Proficiency in operating cameras and other film equipment.
Technical knowledge of lighting, sound recording, and grip equipment.
Familiarity with different camera formats and lens options.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, based on production schedules.
Physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
