Job Description
Looking for a contract role as a Kubernetes Engineer? Our leading client is seeking a skilled and experienced Kubernetes Engineer to join their team based in Leeds, UK. This is a hybrid position with both remote and WFH opportunities.
As a Kubernetes Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining Kubernetes environments. You should have a deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and its components, and be able to create and manage Kubernetes clusters. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging and resolving Kubernetes issues, so strong problem-solving skills are a must.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Linux administration and networking, and be familiar with Docker and other containerization technologies. You should also have experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible, and be able to write scripts in languages such as Python, Bash or Go.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement and maintain Kubernetes environments
Troubleshoot, debug and resolve Kubernetes issues
Create and manage Kubernetes clusters
Automate Kubernetes infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible or other IaC tools
Write scripts in Python, Bash or Go
Work closely with developers and other engineers to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications
Requirements:
Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and components
Experience with Docker and other containerization technologies
Solid background in Linux administration and networking
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible
Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash or Go
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
