Looking for a challenging freelance role in the film industry? Our leading client is seeking a talented Key Grip to join their team in Limerick, Ireland. As a Key Grip, you will be responsible for overseeing the grip department and ensuring that all grip equipment is properly maintained and set up for each shoot. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in film production and experience working with a variety of grip equipment. Responsibilities: Work closely with the Director of Photography to create the desired look and feel for each shot. Set up and operate a variety of grip equipment, including dollies, cranes, and rigs. Ensure that all grip equipment is properly maintained and stored. Collaborate with the camera department to ensure smooth camera movements and accurate framing. Assist with the loading and unloading of grip trucks and vans. Manage a team of grips and provide guidance and direction as needed. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols on set. Requirements: At least 3 years of experience working as a Key Grip in the film industry. Strong technical knowledge of grip equipment and techniques. Familiarity with a wide range of grip equipment, including dollies, cranes, and rigs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
