Are you an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer looking for a full-time opportunity in Dublin, Ireland? Look no further! Our esteemed client is seeking a skilled professional like yourself to join their team as an Industrial Automation Engineer. If you have a strong background in industrial automation and possess the necessary skills and expertise, this could be the perfect role for you! As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for: System Design and Integration: Designing and integrating automation systems, including hardware and software components, to optimize manufacturing processes and improve operational efficiency. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop system specifications. PLC Programming: Developing and implementing PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs to control and monitor industrial processes. Configuring PLCs, conducting testing, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation and adherence to safety standards. HMI Development: Designing and developing Human-Machine Interface (HMI) screens and applications for visualization and control of automated systems. Creating intuitive user interfaces to facilitate operation and monitoring of industrial processes. SCADA Implementation: Implementing SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to monitor, control, and analyze real-time data from various industrial equipment and sensors. Configuring alarms, data logging, and reporting functions for efficient process monitoring. System Maintenance and Optimization: Performing regular system maintenance tasks, including software updates, backups, and security enhancements. Conducting system performance analysis and identifying areas for improvement to enhance productivity and reliability. Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnosing and resolving automation system issues, both hardware and software-related. Providing technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime and effective problem resolution. Compliance and Safety: Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines in all automation projects. Conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures to mitigate potential hazards. Documentation and Reporting: Creating comprehensive documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and technical reports. Maintaining accurate records of system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as an Industrial Automation Engineer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA. Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP) and networking concepts. Hands-on experience with automation hardware and components, such as sensors, actuators, and motor drives. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control system drawings. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong project management abilities, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including safety guidelines. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is a plus.
