Our leading client, based in the beautiful city of Louisville, Kentucky, is currently seeking a full-time horse trainer to oversee the training and development of our talented equine athletes. Responsibilities: Train and develop horses to achieve optimal performance in competitions, races, or other events Monitor and evaluate the physical and mental condition of horses, and adjust training regimens as needed Provide guidance and supervision to stable staff, including grooms and exercise riders Develop and implement training programs that are tailored to the individual needs of each horse Work closely with veterinarians, farriers, and other equine professionals to maintain the health and well-being of the horses Attend horse shows, races, and other events to support our clients and promote our stable Requirements: Proven experience as a horse trainer, with a deep understanding of equine behavior, anatomy, and physiology Strong horsemanship skills, including the ability to handle and ride horses in a variety of disciplines Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others Ability to work well under pressure, and to make quick decisions in high-stress situations Flexibility to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays A passion for horses and a strong commitment to their welfare If you are an experienced horse trainer looking for a new challenge, and you are passionate about working with horses, then we want to hear from you!
