As a Health Worker, you will be responsible for: Patient Care: Providing direct care and support to patients in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, or residential facilities. Vital Signs Monitoring: Conducting regular monitoring of vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiratory rate. Recognizing and reporting any abnormalities or changes in patients' health conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Medication Administration: Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate dosages and adherence to medication schedules. Documenting medication administration and any observed side effects or reactions. Health Education: Educating patients and their families on health-related topics, including disease prevention, medication management, and lifestyle modifications. Providing information and guidance to promote self-care and empower patients to make informed decisions about their health. Patient Advocacy: Serving as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, advocating for patients' rights, needs, and concerns. Ensuring effective communication and collaboration to address patients' individual requirements and preferences. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care, observations, and interventions. Adhering to confidentiality guidelines and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in healthcare documentation. Infection Control: Implementing proper infection control measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Adhering to hygiene protocols, maintaining cleanliness in patient environments, and promoting a safe and sanitary healthcare setting. Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Contributing to care planning, participating in team meetings, and providing input to optimize patient outcomes. Requirements: Relevant qualification in healthcare, such as Nursing Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, or equivalent. Previous experience in a similar healthcare role is preferred. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures. Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong observation and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical stamina and the ability to handle the demands of the role. Knowledge of infection control practices and health and safety regulations. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fluent English language skills; proficiency in additional languages is a plus. Proof of relevant certifications and references may be requested.
