Freight Operator

Recruit Drive is seeking an experienced Freight Operator on behalf of our client based in Bath, UK. Key Responsibilities: Loading and unloading goods onto vehicles, ensuring that they are secured properly for transport. Driving freight vehicles, such as lorries, vans, or other heavy goods vehicles, to transport goods to their destinations. Planning routes and ensuring that deliveries are made on time. Communicating with clients and suppliers regarding the progress of deliveries. Performing routine checks on vehicles, such as oil levels and tyre pressure, and arranging for any necessary repairs. Completing delivery paperwork and updating inventory systems. Skills and Qualifications: A valid driver's license for the relevant type of vehicle (HGV, LGV, etc.). Proven experience as a freight operator, ideally within a similar environment. Good knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours, as required.
