Freelance Session Musician

Responsibilities: Perform live music at events such as weddings, parties, corporate events, and festivals Collaborate with event planners and clients to select appropriate music for the occasion Work with other musicians and artists to create a cohesive and entertaining performance Set up and operate musical equipment, such as amplifiers, microphones, and speakers Attend rehearsals to ensure a flawless performance Continuously improve their craft by learning new songs and techniques Requirements: Proven experience as a Freelance Musician Excellent musical abilities and proficiency in one or more instruments, such as guitar, piano, or violin Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients, event planners, and other musicians Ability to read and perform sheet music Proficiency in using and setting up musical equipment Must have a flexible schedule and availability to perform on weekends and evenings A strong passion for music and a willingness to continuously improve their craft Location and Schedule: This position is based in New Orleans, but is a hybrid role with remote and WFH opportunities available. You will need to be available to perform at events in the area, as well as attend rehearsals and meetings as needed. The schedule is flexible and varies based on event and client needs.
