RecHK, a leading recruitment agency in Hong Kong, is excited to announce a full-time job opportunity for our client in the fishing industry. We are looking for an experienced Fisherman to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Operate fishing equipment and tools, including nets, fishing rods, and tackle, to catch fish and other aquatic creatures.
Clean, store and maintain fishing gear, boats, and other equipment to ensure they are in good condition.
Navigate boats and ships in a safe and efficient manner, following marine regulations.
Follow fishing guidelines, laws, and regulations, and ensure the sustainability of fish stocks.
Keep accurate records of catch sizes, numbers, and types, and report any findings to management.
Collaborate with other fishermen and crew members, and communicate effectively with team members and management.
Skills and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in commercial or recreational fishing, including knowledge of fish species and fishing techniques.
Familiarity with navigation tools, such as compasses and GPS.
Ability to operate boats and handle fishing equipment safely.
Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays.
Physical stamina and fitness to lift and carry heavy equipment and catch.
Good communication skills, ability to work in a team, and follow instructions.
Knowledge of fishing regulations and ability to comply with safety protocols.
