Film Director

Our client, a well-known film production company based in Dublin, is seeking a skilled and experienced Film Director to join their team. As a Film Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the filmmaking process, from conceptualization to post-production. You will work closely with the producer, writers, and other members of the creative team to bring the script to life and create a compelling story for the audience. Responsibilities: Work closely with the writer to interpret and develop the script, create storyboards, and develop the visual style of the film Lead and manage the film crew, actors, and other creative personnel involved in the production process Collaborate with the cinematographer to create the visual look of the film and ensure the lighting, framing, and camera work are effective in conveying the story and emotions of the characters Work with the production designer to create the visual atmosphere and design of the film Direct and coach the actors in their performances and ensure that their performances are consistent with the vision of the film Make decisions on the editing and post-production process to ensure the final product meets the creative vision of the film Requirements: Proven experience as a film director, with a strong portfolio showcasing your previous work Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to bring their best to the project Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with the creative team and communicate your vision clearly to them In-depth knowledge of the filmmaking process, including pre-production, production, and post-production stages Creative and innovative thinking, with the ability to bring new ideas and approaches to the film Strong understanding of visual storytelling, and ability to translate script into compelling visual narrative Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines If you are a talented Film Director looking for a challenging freelance opportunity with a leading film production company, then we want to hear from you!
