Job Description
Are you an experienced Database Administrator looking for an exciting new opportunity? Info-Expertise is working with one of its leading clients to hire a talented Database Administrator to join their team in Oxford, UK. This is a full-time position with hybrid work arrangements, allowing for remote and work-from-home opportunities. Responsibilities: As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and availability of the company's databases. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Installing, configuring, and maintaining database management systems (DBMS) Monitoring database performance and identifying and resolving performance issues Ensuring database security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures Backing up and restoring databases as needed Developing and maintaining database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary Managing database access and ensuring data integrity and compliance with data privacy regulations Collaborating with other teams to optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues Participating in disaster recovery planning and testing Skills: To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications: Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with a track record of managing large and complex databases Strong knowledge of database management systems, including Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server Experience with database performance tuning and optimization Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field If you have a passion for database administration and are looking for a challenging new opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this exciting position.
