As a Cleaner, your responsibilities will include:
Cleaning and Sanitizing: Performing regular cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to ensure that all areas are clean and free from dirt, debris, and germs. Sanitizing surfaces, including countertops, tables, and fixtures, to maintain a hygienic environment.
Waste Management: Collecting and disposing of waste and recyclables appropriately. Emptying trash bins and ensuring that garbage is properly sorted and disposed of according to established procedures.
Restroom Maintenance: Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Restocking restroom supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
Floor Care: Cleaning and maintaining different types of flooring, including mopping hard floors and vacuuming carpets. Using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure floors are spotless and well-maintained.
Surface Polishing: Polishing surfaces, such as glass windows, mirrors, and stainless steel fixtures, to maintain a clean and polished appearance. Removing fingerprints, smudges, and stains to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal.
Adherence to Safety Standards: Following safety protocols and using appropriate protective equipment when handling cleaning chemicals or operating cleaning machinery. Identifying and promptly reporting any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Stock Management: Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, including soaps, detergents, and paper products, to ensure an uninterrupted workflow. Keeping an inventory of cleaning materials and reporting supply needs in a timely manner.
Communication and Collaboration: Maintaining open and effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other staff members. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient cleaning operations and to address any specific cleaning requirements.
Requirements:
Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is desirable.
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift heavy objects if required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
Fluent English language skills; proficiency in additional languages may be beneficial.
