Experienced Civil Engineer – Progression to Contracts Manager Location: County Meath Company: Leading Fencing Contractor Recruiter: J&A Recruitment Ltd Overview Our client, a well-established and growing fencing contractor based in County Meath, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking for long-term career development, with a clear and structured progression path to Contracts Manager. The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of fencing and civil projects across the Republic of Ireland. Key Responsibilities Assist in the management of fencing and civil engineering projects from tender stage through to completion Carry out regular site inspections, ensuring works are delivered to specification and programme Prepare site reports, progress updates, and documentation Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control Ensure quality standards are met and maintained across all projects Uphold and enforce all health, safety, and environmental requirements on site Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification 3–5 years’ experience in civil engineering, construction, or fencing works Strong organisational, communication, and coordination skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Full driving licence and own transport (essential) Willingness to travel and work across the Republic of Ireland Valid work permit, visa, and IRP card where applicable What’s on Offer Attractive and competitive remuneration package, depending on experience Clear career progression to Contracts Manager Stable, long-term position with a respected and expanding contractor Opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects within a supportive team environment
