Job Description
Our client is a well-established automotive repair center that specializes in providing high-quality services to its customers. As a Car Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our client's customers receive the best possible service by providing efficient, accurate, and timely repairs.
Responsibilities:
Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and battery replacements.
Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults and malfunctions.
Carrying out diagnostic tests using specialist equipment.
Providing accurate estimates of repair costs to customers.
Interacting with customers and providing excellent customer service.
Keeping up-to-date with technical developments, technologies, and regulations in the industry.
Ensuring that the workshop is clean and organized.
Maintaining and updating accurate records of repairs and maintenance tasks performed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Car Mechanic, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive repair industry.
Knowledge of modern vehicle diagnostic and repair techniques and tools.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle faults and malfunctions.
Good understanding of automotive electrical and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with computer-based diagnostic equipment.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Must have a full and valid UK driving license.
Relevant qualifications or certifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Maintenance and Repair, City & Guilds, or similar would be advantageous.
Location:
This is a full-time position based in Plymouth, UK. You will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required. Our client offers a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
