Are you an experienced and analytical Business Analyst seeking a contract role in the vibrant city of Wellington, New Zealand? Our leading client, a prominent organization in the business sector, is currently hiring for the position of Contract Business Analyst. As a Contract Business Analyst, your skills and responsibilities will include: Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, project managers, and development teams, to elicit and document business requirements. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand the needs and objectives of the organization. Analysis and Documentation: Analyze complex business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and enhancement. Document requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications to guide development teams in delivering effective solutions. Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and serve as a bridge between business and technology teams. Facilitate communication, manage expectations, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions. Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decision-making. Use tools and techniques to cleanse, transform, and model data for reporting and decision support. Business Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize business processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and streamline operations. Solution Design and Evaluation: Work closely with development teams to design and evaluate potential solutions. Collaborate on solution architecture, user interface design, and system integration to ensure alignment with business requirements. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test scenarios, conduct testing, and validate system functionality against business requirements. Collaborate with testing teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. Change Management: Support the implementation and adoption of new systems and processes within the organization. Provide training and support to users, address resistance to change, and promote user acceptance and satisfaction. Requirements: Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a contract or consulting capacity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and propose effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Solid understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques. Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation, including user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications. Experience with data analysis, including data modeling, data mapping, and data manipulation. Familiarity with agile methodologies and the ability to work in agile development environments. Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, is a plus. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
