Assistant Groundsman Manager

The Assistant Groundsman Manager will be responsible for supporting and supervising grounds maintenance activities, including: • Turf Maintenance: Mowing, strimming, weeding, watering, and clearing leaves from grass areas. • Pitch Preparation: Marking and overmarking sports areas (football pitches, athletic tracks, etc.) according to specific league and event standards (like the Premier League or MLS rules). • Horticultural Operations: Ground preparation, planting, turfing, seeding, and pruning. • Equipment Management: Operating, cleaning, and performing minor maintenance on grounds equipment and machinery. • Facility Management: Erecting and dismantling sports equipment (goals, nets), ensuring work areas are clean and secure, and general tidiness of external hard areas. Safety & Compliance: Documenting safety checks, clearing snow/ice, and adherence to Health & Safety regulations.
