About the Role We’re recruiting Student Consultants to support a 5-day business consulting challenge alongside students from the Singapore University of Social Sciences. You’ll play a key role in helping international teams understand the Japanese market, engage with local businesses, and develop real solutions that drive impact. Beyond the stipend, this experience offers strong professional value: hands-on consulting exposure, cross-cultural teamwork, direct engagement with Japanese retailers, and an official Certificate of Completion from the Singapore University of Social Sciences recognizing your contribution. What You’ll Do Join store visits to help analyse challenges faced by local Japanese retail businesses. Support international students during fieldwork by sharing cultural insights, facilitating communication, and helping them understand industry norms. Assist teams as they brainstorm, adapt, and refine their recommendations for the Japanese market. Provide occasional ad-hoc localisation support outside the main schedule (optional; additional fixed stipend available). Requirements Open to both local Japanese students and foreign students studying in Japan. Working proficiency in Japanese and English is required. Preferably currently enrolled as a university student (full-time or part-time). Able to commit to all project dates: 5–9 January 2026, 9:00–18:00 with a 1-hour lunch break. Comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. What You’ll Receive JPY 55,000 stipend for the 5-day project.
