ob Description: Sound and Light Technician for Dance Show Position: Sound and Light Technician Location:Theather Maren, Nyon CH Event: Barbie Saves Enchantica Date(s): June 7 & 8th Time: all day Overview: We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Sound and Light Technician to support our upcoming dance show. The technician will be responsible for managing the sound and lighting systems during rehearsals and performances, ensuring seamless operation throughout the event. Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and maintain sound and lighting equipment for the show, including microphones, speakers, lighting rigs, and control systems. Collaborate with the director, choreographer, and production team to ensure the technical requirements of the dance show are met. Conduct sound checks and lighting tests before rehearsals and performances to ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Adjust sound levels, lighting cues, and special effects in real-time during the show to support the dancers’ movements and create the desired atmosphere. Troubleshoot any technical issues promptly and efficiently during rehearsals and live performances. Maintain and organize all technical equipment before, during, and after the event. Assist with the breakdown and packing of equipment after the performance. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a sound and light technician, preferably in live performances or events. Strong understanding of sound and lighting equipment, including mixers, speakers, and lighting consoles. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs during rehearsals and live shows. Experience with dance performances or theatrical productions is a plus.
